My Way

In esoteric circles and numerology, women born on the ninth of any month are called “witches” — half in jest, half in earnest — because of their particular, intuitive gifts. They are mature souls completing their life cycle. They can heal and see prophetic dreams. They have a powerful energy field, easily read the signs and hints of the world around them, and can hear what is hidden “between the lines.”

I was born on the ninth. And if you ask me whether this is true — three years ago I would have laughed and said, “No.” What kind of witch could I possibly be? I was an utterly ordinary person, searching for the meaning of life and living by the common rules. But three years ago something powerful happened in my life that turned absolutely everything upside down — including my understanding of the world. And yes, from that day on I truly began, consciously, to read the signs and hints of the world and to hear what is hidden between the lines.

Did I become a witch? I think I did. But the word “witch,” as I understand it, is used in its original meaning — from the old root “to know” (to possess wisdom). Why did I suddenly become a witch, and was it my choice? No. I was tripped up. I was not meant to become one. It is all connected to ancestral patterns.

Believe me, no one wants to be a witch — it is the person who stands between life and death. Being a witch is a very heavy burden, and not everyone can carry it. When you become a witch, you begin to understand how everything is arranged and how everything is interconnected. You cannot simply walk past, you cannot close your eyes and say “I know nothing,” or pretend that it is not happening to you. I tried — it doesn’t work.

The signs are read automatically, without your consent; understanding and awareness simply come to you in the moment. And when that understanding arrives, there comes a point where you have to decide: what do I do with this now?

You begin to understand why injustice exists in life. Why people fall ill and die, why so many walk our Earth unpunished, why wars happen.
